Manchester United came out on top as they faced Atletico Madrid in a friendly over the weekend. But Michael Carrick's squad are still in need of a few new additions.
In his first pre-season as United manager, Carrick suffered defeat to Wrexham to begin, but with a few more options available, has put Rosenborg and Atletico to the sword since. The Spanish side were downed 2-1 in Stockholm on Saturday and new signing Andrey Santos was in from the off.
One of his team-mates, Joshua Zirkzee, came off the bench in the 73rd minute, but he has been linked with leaving the club with reports in Italy hinting towards an imminent exit. The Manchester Evening News brings you the latest transfer updates from Old Trafford, including a development in the pursuit of Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Man Utd star 'agrees' to move
Reports from Italy claim Joshua Zirkzee has agreed to join Juventus on loan without an obligation to buy. The Dutch striker does not appear to be part of Carrick's first-team plans.

United purchased Zirkzee for £36m in 2024 and he became the first signing of the INEOS era but the forward fell behind Benjamin Sesko in the pecking order last season. He previously featured in Italy with Bologna.
The Manchester Evening News understands that Zirkzee has proven a challenging player to offload and having failed to make an impact at United, is much more likely to depart on loan, either with or without an option to buy.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Zirkzee has agreed to such a deal with Juventus and has already 'said yes' to the Italian outfit. However, the move is hinging on the Old Lady being able to offload striker Jonathan David.
Myles Lewis-Skelly boost
United were initially linked with Lewis-Skelly last year when he began slipping down the left-back pecking order at Arsenal, with both Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie receiving more playing time. This issue was quickly addressed when Mikel Arteta repositioned the 19-year-old into midfield, where he excelled.
However, Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes is scheduled for a Gunners medical on Monday, according to The Times. Should the Brazilian complete the move, he'll become another star Lewis-Skelly must contend with for first-team opportunities.

Additionally, his reported £80m transfer fee will leave a significant mark. Any sum Arsenal receive from selling Lewis-Skelly would count as pure profit under Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, so if United table the appropriate offer, it could prove too tempting to reject.
The Independent reports that they are presently awaiting confirmation on whether the Gunners are willing to negotiate over Lewis-Skelly and that United's interest remains firm.
