JJ Gabriel made his first United appearance in Stockholm

As an experienced international defender, Luke Shaw knows he always has to be the right side of his man. So as he turned the corner to leave Stockholm's Strawberry Arena an hour or so after the final whistle had blown on Manchester United's third pre-season friendly of the summer, his instincts kicked in.
Shaw was walking out of the stadium with JJ Gabriel, and the two of them were navigating their way past the hoardings into the mixed zone. As they turned past the small group of media in attendance, Gabriel was on the inside and Shaw the outside. That clearly wasn't the plan.
The left-back, more than double the age of the precocious 15-year-old, quickly darted across Gabriel's path. He was now on the inside, ready to protect a teenager who is already making a name for himself among the senior United players. A few feet away, a press officer made sure they went by without issue.
