Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer.
With three weeks to go until the start of the 2026/27 Premier League season, Manchester United have turned their attention to the left-back market.
United are showing interest in Lewis Hall, but signing him from Newcastle United might prove difficult as they have already parted with several key players this summer.
According to reports, United are also interested in Myles Lewis-Skelly as an alternative left-back target. Arsenal are open to selling Lewis-Skelly this summer.

Myles Lewis-Skelly views himself as a central midfielder
When Lewis-Skelly made his first-team breakthrough at Arsenal, he did so playing at left-back.
However, according to BBC Sport, Lewis-Skelly had “never played as a full-back” before being included in Arsenal’s first team.
As quoted by Football London, Lewis-Skelly predicted that his future lies as a central midfielder, rather than as a full-back.
Gary Neville and Ian Wright asked Lewis-Skelly if he believes he will be more of a midfielder in the future and he replied: “I believe so. I believe so.”
“I was originally training in midfield for a couple of months around December to April. That period I was learning my craft and learning my position.
“For me, it was natural for me as a young player because it was where I grew up playing, in midfield. It was just to refine the smaller details in that position in that team, learning what different players like, when I am in different areas of the pitch.
“It felt natural, going back in there. It felt like this is where I belong. It was not a ‘What’s going on here’ it felt natural to me.”

Myles Lewis-Skelly could join Man United as a midfield option
If United do make a move for Lewis-Skelly this summer, it will be because his versatility covers two important areas that need strengthening.
United need a third midfield signing this summer to bolster Michael Carrick’s options, but the Red Devils also need a left-back – Lewis-Skelly ticks both boxes.

Last season, as per Transfermarkt, Lewis-Skelly made 30 appearances as a left-back and five as a midfielder.
However, some of Lewis-Skelly’s best matches came in midfield, including in the Champions League semi-final and final. The 19-year-old also played centrally in Arsenal’s crucial Premier League title-deciding matches towards the end of the season.
