Manchester United will allow Chido Obi to go out on loan this summer, and he’s not short of options.
The 18-year-old joined Manchester United in September 2024 and made his first team debut in February 2025.
He finished his first season with eight first team appearances, without a goal or an assist.
Last season, the striker only got minutes with Manchester United’s U18 and U21s. He managed five goals and an assist from six matches for the former and 15 goals and five assists for U21s.

The Denmark U21 international’s lack of minutes with the first team has been a concern back home. To avoid such a scenario next season, he could join a new club on loan.
That’s according to Tipsbladet, who report the Red Devils are ready to sanction a temporary move this summer.
Although Chido Obi is impressing for the youth teams, he hasn’t showcased his qualities for the first team. Therefore, Manchester United won’t be against the idea of sanctioning a loan transfer.
Michael Carrick’s side will only give the green light if there’s a good opportunity. There’s no explanation about what is as an ideal club for the striker.

Chido Obi has no injury or fitness concerns but wasn’t part of Michael Carrick’s travelling squad because he’s ‘currently a long way’ from the first team. This is as a hint the Dane could be on his way out.
