Manchester United came from behind to beat Spanish side Atletico Madrid 2-1 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
Arnau Ortiz had put the La Liga outfit in front early on in Stockholm, but a Bryan Mbeumo brace turned the match on its head and earned Michael Carrick’s side a victory in their third friendly of the summer.
Next up for the Red Devils is another friendly against Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday, before games against Leeds United and AC Milan.
United then play their first match of the new Premier League campaign when they face Hull City on August 22, but in the meantime it has emerged that the Manchester club could miss out on one of their transfer targets.
As per CaughtOffside, Manchester United face fierce competition from Al-Hilal in the race to sign Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye.
The report suggests that the Saudi Pro League outfit are currently in pole position to land the Senegal international, who is valued by his current club at around £75 million.

Ndiaye, 26, joined the Toffees from French club Marseille in 2024, having previously enjoyed a successful spell in England with Sheffield United.
Since arriving on Merseyside, the attacker has scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 71 games across all competitions, and his performances have put him on Man United’s radar.
The report suggests that Al-Hilal are currently readying an offer worth around £51.3 million for the player, although that is well below Everton’s valuation.
Despite this, it is claimed that the Saudi side are better placed then Man United to sign Ndiaye, in terms of both the transfer fee required and the player’s wage demands.
Ndiaye has just under three years remaining on his current contract with Everton.
