Chris Bosh warned Victor Wembanyama to remain disciplined with his treatment after recurring blood clots forced the NBA legend to end his career.
Chris Bosh has offered important advice to Victor Wembanyama after the San Antonio Spurs star dealt with the same type of health issue that ultimately ended the Hall of Famer's NBA career.
Wembanyama's season was cut short by a blood clot, raising concerns about whether the problem could return in the future.
Speaking to Sam Yip of HoopsHype, Bosh stressed that the French superstar must remain disciplined with his treatment and follow every part of his medical regimen.

"Take your medicine," Bosh said when asked what advice he would give Wembanyama.
"Make sure that he's staying on top of his regimen to make sure that doesn't happen again because it only takes one more time. It happened one more time for me, it happened twice, and I couldn't play anymore."
Bosh's own career was derailed by recurring blood clots beginning in 2015. After the condition returned, he was unable to receive medical clearance to continue playing.
The former Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors star urged Wembanyama to prioritize his health away from basketball as much as his work on the court.
"So I guess with him, just making sure he does everything necessary to keep that blood as thin as possible and take care of that body off the court," Bosh added.
Bosh recently suffered another pulmonary embolism
Bosh's warning comes after he revealed that he suffered another pulmonary embolism in January and nearly lost his life.
"I had an episode in January," Bosh told HoopsHype. "I almost dropped dead pretty much and came back to life. I'm not joking.
"I had another pulmonary embolism. It was in January this past year. I was in the hospital for a week."
The 11-time NBA All-Star officially retired in 2019 after playing only a limited number of games once his blood-clot problems began in 2015.
Bosh won two NBA championships with the Heat and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021.
