Injuries force players to stay behind

Not every first team player has travelled with the squad, however. Neither player is expected to be fit in time to feature in any of the matches during the tour, prompting the club to leave them behind to continue their rehabilitation. Juventus hope the decision will allow both players to recover without the demands of travelling and match preparation.
Ekhator only recently joined the Bianconeri, but he suffered an injury during the club’s first pre-season match of the summer. The setback has delayed his integration into the squad at an important stage of preparations for the new campaign.
