As the Miami Heat are still on the lookout for key and team-friendly signings to build on their new era around Giannis Antetokounmpo, a seasoned NBA guard has expressed interest in joining them.
Veteran Spencer Dinwiddie has shown desire in the possibility of joining the Heat through a viral Instagram Story reply to a Miami fan.
The intriguing exchange from both sides can be viewed below:
Will Miami Heat consider a Spencer Dinwiddie signing?
Spencer Dinwiddie is coming off a brief basketball stint in Germany, where he played for FC Bayern Munich of the Basketball Bundesliga. Upon joining the team back in October, he eventually left in January to return to the United States and attend to a family member who was sick.
Dinwiddie last played in the NBA during the 2024-25 season, his second stint with the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 11.0 points, 4.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 79 games.
The journeyman has also had notable stops with the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Detroit Pistons, where he began his NBA career in 2014.
With their point guard depth serving as one of the glaring holes they still need to address, the Miami Heat could consider bringing Dinwiddie to their side.
