Jaylen Brown is one of the most central figures of this year's offseason. Not only did the Boston Celtics trade him away to a rival team in the Philadelphia 76ers, forming a formidable trio with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, the 76ers also won the LeBron James free agency sweepstakes. This cements the 76ers as one of the biggest contenders in the NBA heading into the season, at least on paper.
And for Brown, James' arrival means much more than winning games for him. The 76ers' blockbuster trade acquisition is looking forward to absorbing whatever knowledge he can from the future Hall of Famer, especially after lining up opposite him for a decade.
“We got Bron. What an opportunity that is. What an opportunity it is to learn. One of my favorite things to do is to learn. To have the opportunity to learn from one of, if not the greatest player of all time, on and off the court… learn and gather experiences that accumulate to my own knowledge base,” Brown said on his Twitch stream on Monday.

Brown has long been regarded as one of the smartest players in the NBA, and there's no better testament of a man's wisdom than his eagerness to learn from another wise man. James has always been one of the most cerebral basketball players in the league, and with age comes wisdom.
Thus, there might not be a better superstar talent to learn from in today's NBA than the veteran who is entering his 24th year in the league.
The 76ers will certainly need to put the work in on the hardwood, as they have to integrate a ton of new pieces into the team. But the talent of this team is too hard to ignore, and they have the mental makeup as well as a unit that should push them to get better as the season progresses.
