The 2026 summer transfer window continues to rattle on at a ferocious pace, as Premier League clubs scramble to get deals done ahead of the new domestic season kicking off later this month. Clubs can sign, sell and loan players until 11pm on September 1st, but many will look to get the bulk of their business done early so they’re ready for the upcoming 2026/27 campaign.

Some major deals have already gone through, including Elliot Anderson’s move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City and Morgan Rogers’ switch from Aston Villa to Chelsea. We’re expecting plenty more to come over the next month, with Arsenal’s pursuit of Brazilian duo Bruno Guimaraes and Vinicius Junior likely to dominate the headlines.
Today’s rumour mill round-up begins at Old Trafford, where Manchester United have had a decent transfer window so far, bringing in the likes of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to bolster their midfield options. However, according to Caught Offside, they could now be set to miss out on one key target: Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, who could instead join Al-Hilal.
The report claims that the Saudi Pro League side are the only club who could come close to matching the Toffees’ rumoured £75m valuation of the Senegal international, and are said to have already opened talks over a potential deal. This has been dubbed a “serious blow” to the Red Devils, and other Premier League clubs including Aston Villa and Man City.

It’s over to Merseyside next, where Everton are looking to get some serious business done after a middling transfer window thus far. They’re said to be on the hunt for a new right-back, and have been tipped to make a bold raid for Atletico Madrid and Argentina ace Nahuel Molina, who has been capped on 65 occasions by his country.
Italian outlet Tutto Juve claim that the Toffees are looking to storm past Juventus to sign the 28-year-old, who featured in all but one of Argentina’s World Cup matches. A potential fee isn’t specified, but it’s said that Everton are confident they can meet Atleti’s valuation. David Moyes’ side are believed to have already held talks with the club, as they look to secure a high quality option at right-back.
The 3AM Verdict: Molina only has one year left on his current deal, so an exit this summer makes sense. With just Jake O’Brien and Nathan Patterson as options on the right side of defence, the Toffees are in serious need of an upgrade, and bringing in a player with bags of experience playing at a high level would be an excellent bit of business for Everton.

Bringing us to a close, it’s over to St. James’ Park, where the dust continues to settle following Eddie Howe’s unexpected exit from Newcastle United. Incoming new manager Matthias Jaissle will be hopeful of new signings arriving soon, especially in defence. According to Football Insider, the Magpies are “favourites” to sign Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini.
The Serie A side are said to be willing to accept an offer in the region of £40m for the 22-year-old, who was regarded as one of the most promising defenders in Europe before suffering a severe ACL injury back in 2024. Spurs are said to be now operating more carefully in the window, having already spent well over £200m on new signings. This is said to have opened up the door for the Magpies to swoop in and get the deal done.
The 3AM Verdict: With no European football to offer and a host of top players either having left or soon to depart, Newcastle is a harder sell than usual this summer. That said, he’d surely get more game time at St. James’ Park than he would at Spurs, and could look to follow fellow promising talent Lukas Hornicek in committing to an exciting rebuild project.
