Tottenham are planning to raid Premier League rivals for the versatile forward.
Tottenham Hotspur have welcomed several new faces this summer, strengthening their defence with the arrivals of Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson. They have also reinforced the midfield, splashing in the region of £185m to land Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
Now, Roberto De Zerbi is determined to add firepower to his attacking options. Having missed out on Manchester City winger Savinho last summer, Spurs have renewed their interest in him this transfer window. The N17 bosses are working day and night to agree on a fee with Manchester City for Savinho, who is keen to join De Zerbi’s forces at White Hart Lane.
However, Savinho isn’t the only Manchester City player wanted by Tottenham. Reliable journalist Alasdair Gold has recently revealed that De Zerbi is an admirer of Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian international struggled for regular opportunities at Man City last season, starting just eight of 21 Premier League games. Another season operating as Erling Haaland’s understudy isn’t acceptable to him as the forward hopes to find a club that would guarantee him regular minutes.
Tottenham face competition from Serie A giants for Omar Marmoush
According to a report from TuttoJuve, Juventus are interested in signing Marmoush from Man City. The Turin giants believe he has the qualities to strengthen their attack and are closely monitoring his situation.
Luciano Spalletti’s club are hoping to take advantage of Marmoush’s uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium by offering the forward the prospect of more regular playing time. After releasing Dusan Vlahovic and allowing Lois Openda to leave on loan, Juventus are desperate to add a reliable source of goals for the upcoming campaign.
Marmoush may not have been a prolific goalscorer at Man City, but he certainly proved himself in the Bundesliga, where he netted 35 times in 108 appearances. Therefore, it is not surprising that Juventus want to add the Egyptian star to their attacking ranks. The report adds that the Bianconeri will continue to monitor developments involving Marmoush before deciding whether to pursue a proper approach.
The Lilywhites may need to act quickly if they are to land Marmoush before the September 1 transfer deadline. Signing him would be a no-brainer for the club, considering their lack of quality and depth in attacking areas at present. With Dominic Solanke failing to keep himself fit for large parts of the 2025/26 season and Richarlison’s future up in the air, Spurs would benefit from having the African star in their squad next season.
Juventus pose a potential threat to Tottenham in the Marmoush chase. The Serie A side would be able to offer the 27-year-old European football and better wages as compared to Spurs. As things stand, they are yet to decide whether to make a formal approach to City for the forward.
