No, it’s not a new signing. But Manchester United have announced a new £20m per season deal.

According to journalist Chris Wheeler on X, Manchester United’s new Betway sponsorship deal is worth £20 million per season.

Betway have become United’s new training kit sponsor, and exclusive global betting partner. The agreement is said to be the biggest deal of its kind in world football.

If there were any doubts about United still being a leading global brand, they can quickly be dismissed.

Man United’s new £20m deal contributes to Project 90

Since the Ineos takeover, United fans have come to learn about several ongoing projects from inside the club.

The ‘Project Avalon’ was the codename for United’s Carrington renovation, then CEO Omar Berrada has spoken openly about ‘Project 150’; the plan to win the Premier League by 2028.

Financially speaking, Ineos launced Project 90 with the aim of increasing the club’s revenue by £90 million per year.

The club is looking to boost all revenue streams including matchday income, prize money such as Champions League payouts, transfer sales and, of course, commercial revenue.

Man United on track to break £700m revenue milestone

As per the club’s Q3 results, United projected revenue of £665m for the 2025/26 season, despite having no European football.

In 2026/27, United are back in the Champions League, which alone should provide over £100 million in revenue.

Combined, United should easily breach the £700 million revenue mark, and it puts Ineos on track to reach their £800 million revenue target by 2028.
