Manchester United face Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday in their next pre-season friendly.
The Red Devils were beaten 1-0 by Championship side Wrexham in their first friendly of the summer but have since defeated both Norwegian side Rosenborg and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
Michael Carrick will hope to see his side build on those results before they face newly-promoted Hull City in their opening game of the new Premier League season on August 22.
In the meantime, though, it appears that United are set to miss out on one of their transfer targets.
As per TEAMtalk, Newcastle United have insisted that Manchester United target Lewis Hall is nor for sale this summer.
The report claims that the Red Devils have identified the former Chelsea man as their top target to bolster Carrick’s squad in the left-back position this summer, but the Magpies have no intention of selling the star.

Hall, 21, joined Newcastle on loan from the Blues in 2023 before making his switch permanent the following year.
He had played just 12 times for Chelsea after graduating from their academy, but since arriving at St. James’ Park he has featured more than 100 times in all competitions.
It is claimed that the player himself is open to the idea of a move to Old Trafford, amid uncertainty at Newcastle following the departure of manager Eddie Howe last week.
The Magpies have also sold Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon this summer, while captain Bruno Guimaraes also continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
Hall’s contract in the North East is set to expire at the end of the 2028/29 season, but it remains to be seen whether or not Newcastle can keep hold of him beyond the end of the current transfer window.
