Juventus have brought Randal Kolo Muani back to the club, with the financial details highlighting a significant difference when compared with what Dusan Vlahovic earned during the 2025/2026 season alone.

The Serbian striker was among the highest earners in Europe, receiving at least 1m euros per month in net wages from the Bianconeri. His earnings have become a major factor in the ongoing discussions surrounding his future at the club.

Vlahovic believes it is insulting that Juventus now want him to accept a new contract worth half of his previous monthly salary. He has rejected the proposal, leaving the club to secure Kolo Muani instead.

Juventus agree financial terms with Kolo Muani

Kolo Muani has joined Juventus after accepting a salary of 5m euros net per season. The Frenchman agreed to the terms offered by the club, allowing Juventus to complete an agreement that provides a different financial structure compared with Vlahovic’s current deal.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus will spend just over 17m euros gross for Kolo Muani during his first season at the club, including his salary and the amortisation of his transfer fee. The figure represents a much lower financial commitment for the club.

The contrast with Vlahovic’s previous costs is substantial, as Juventus spent around 41m euros on the Serbian striker during the previous season alone. The difference reflects the varying structures of the two agreements.

Vlahovic contract situation remains unresolved

The report also explained the reason behind the large gap in spending, stating that “This huge gap is largely explained by the unique structure of the agreement signed in January 2022, which provided for a rising distribution of commission costs, increasing the Serbian striker’s overall salary last season.”

Juventus’ decision to bring Kolo Muani back appears linked to their desire to manage wage costs more effectively. Meanwhile, Vlahovic’s refusal of the proposed contract terms has left his situation at the club uncertain.

The financial comparison between the two players demonstrates the different approaches Juventus is taking as they look to adjust their squad costs while continuing to strengthen their attacking options.
