Manchester United already have the ‘perfect’ blueprint for why Chido Obi should be loaned out this summer instead of keeping him at Old Trafford.
Chido Obi has been at Old Trafford since 2024 after the 18-year-old left Arsenal’s academy system and completed a stunning move to Manchester United.
The former Gunners talent has been developing in the United youth academy and has also made eight appearances for the Red Devils first team since his arrival.
However, it has been reported that there has been ‘massive interest’ from clubs this summer around taking the Man Utd forward out on loan for the 2026-27 campaign.

Chido Obi could look to Amad Diallo for the benefits of a loan period away from Man Utd
According to Tipsbladet, Chido Obi has been linked with clubs ‘both English and foreign’ and have been ‘responsive’ to the situation around the Red Devils prospect.
But Manchester United are in no rush to sanction a loan move for the Danish striker and are willing to keep him at Old Trafford for the 2026-27 campaign.
Chido Obi only needs to look at other players for why a loan move would be incredibly beneficial for him, especially someone like Man Utd winger Amad Diallo.
Amad Diallo arrived at Old Trafford during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s managerial reign after United signed him from Serie A side Atalanta in 2021.
The Ivorian forward was only 18 when United paid an initial £19m fee, including agreeing to a further £18.2m in add-ons, to bring him to the Premier League club.
Amad was loaned out to both Rangers and Sunderland before the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international had his big breakthrough at the Premier League club.

Amad Diallo’s Sunderland spell is a reminder to Chido Obi of what a loan period could do for his development
Amad Diallo is the perfect example of where loans do not always work, as his initial time at Scottish side Rangers saw him only score three times in 13 appearances.
However, the loan move to Sunderland in 2022 for the 2022-23 campaign was the moment when the former Atalanta man came into his own in English football.
Amad found the back of the net 14 times and registered four assists in 42 matches during his loan spell at the Stadium of Light for the Championship season.
The Ivory Coast attacker, who holds an affinity with the Sunderland supporters, was also named the Black Cats’ Young Player of the Year for the 2022-23 campaign.
Amad’s loan at Sunderland was the perfect springboard for his Man Utd career and the former Black Cats winger should be the perfect role model for Chido Obi now.
