Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire shared his delight that captain Bruno Fernandes has returned to Carrington to start his pre-season preparations. When the Reds initially returned to training at the beginning of July, the group was depleted as first-team players enjoyed an extended break after playing at the World Cup.
In recent days, the group has been strengthened with the arrivals of Amad, Altay Bayindir, Youri Tielemans and Senne Lammens, last week. This week, four more first-team stars returned to Carrington as Noussair Mazraoui, Diogo Dalot, Matheus Cunha and Fernandes began their training regimes in Manchester.
Pictures released by United show the quartet going through their paces in the gym and on the pitch at Carrington. After the session, Maguire took to Instagram to share a picture of himself embracing Fernandes, along with the caption: "He's back." The attacking midfielder reposted the story to his profile, replying: "Big man," with a muscle emoji.

Cunha also shared a message on the social media platform. He posted pictures of himself training, with the caption: "Can't wait." The Brazil international had a mixed World Cup. He performed well in the group stages but was hauled off early as his nation fell to a 2-1 defeat to Norway in the round of 16.

Mason Mount and Bryan Mbeumo, who have been back at Carrington since the start of pre-season, both shared an image of the two of them joking during a running drill. The duo have impressed so far this summer with Mount enjoying playing in a deeper role and Mbeumo grabbing a brace against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

This weekend, United face another tough test as they take on Paris-Saint Germain in Gothenburg, Sweden. Following that game, the Reds will travel to Ireland for a training camp ahead of next Wednesday's clash with Leeds in Dublin.
At the start of next week, the final three players will return to pre-season training. Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo reached the semi-finals with England while Lisandro Martinez represented Argentina in the final. Martinez and Mainoo were injury concerns after the World Cup but both players are expected to be fit.
