Is it possible to really see Stephen Curry not in a [Golden State Warriors](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/golden-state-warriors) jersey? That's something I never would expect to see, but in the NBA, anything is truly possible.
If there's one thing we've found out throughout the existence of this league, it's the fact that anything can happen at any given moment. It's one of the harsh realities of the NBA, and something that can even affect a player like Curry and the Warriors.
However, I still have my fair share of doubts about that ever happening and would genuinely be surprised to see it unfold.
While I have my fair share of skepticism, others are starting to believe that it's actually a possibility. At the very least, there's some fear there from the Warriors' side.
“When the Warriors failed to land LeBron James this summer, and wound up pretty much bringing back the same roster as last year, there was some fear–even some speculative reporting–that Curry and the front office are not on the same page. That fear has been quelled somewhat, but it bears watching what the Warriors and Curry do about an extension later this month,” Sean Deveney [wrote](https://heavy.com/sports/nba/los-angeles-lakers/nba-trade-rumors-trouble-with-lakers-target-mavericks-moves-more/).
The extension that Curry could sign at the end of this month will be a good indication of what's to come. There's also a chance that Curry signs that and eventually figures out a trade situation.
Ultimately, the keys would be in Curry's hands in a situation like this. If he ever wants out, the Warriors would likely respect his wishes.
