During the offseason, reigning Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama and his San Antonio Spurs teammates have explored Paris, France, including making a trip to the Louvre Museum and seeing the Mona Lisa.
Carter Bryant posted pictures of them on the bench in front of the Mona Lisa. Among those who went to the Louvre were Wemby, Bryant, Harrison Barnes, Stephon Castle, and Kelly Olynyk.

This was one of their stops while in France for offseason workouts. Reports surfaced that seven of Wemby's teammates came to France for offseason workouts.
They are hoping that these workouts help them reach their ultimate goal: winning a championship. The Spurs came so close during the 2025-26 season, reaching the NBA Finals.
However, they lost to the New York Knicks in five games. Among the four painful losses they suffered in the NBA Finals was one where they blew a 29-point lead.
The Spurs were dominant in the regular season, though. They finished 62-20 in the regular season, finishing in first place in the Southwest Division.
This marked the first playoff berth for the team since the 2018-19 season. They had a long road to the NBA Finals. The Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers in five games in the first round of the playoffs, but the Minnesota Timberwolves took them to six games in the Western Conference Semifinals.
Their biggest test was against the reigning champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in the Western Conference Finals. It took a full seven games, but the Spurs outlasted OKC and advanced to the NBA Finals.
