Manchester United have agreed a deal to sell promising goalkeeper Radek Vitek to Middlesbrough.
Similarly to last year, United are making amendments to their goalkeeper department. Radek Vitek is joining Middlesbrough, and Altay Bayindir will spend the season on loan at Celta Vigo.
That means Senne Lammens will be the first-choice goalkeeper, with Karl Darlow joining the club this summer as his new back-up option.
United fans had high hopes for Vitek and will be disappointed to see him leave without getting a real chance. However, the deal includes future clauses that ensure the Reds benefit if he develops into a top goalkeeper.

Vitek’s deal to Middlesbrough has the potential to cost a maximum of £14m, but the deal includes an initial £7m fee.
United will gain the full £14m fee if Middlesbrough gain promotion, and Vitek plays a certain number of games.
In addition, United have inserted a 35% sell-on clause, matching rights and a buy-back option into the deal with Middlesbrough.

It will be a boost for any Championship side to have a reliable stopper between the sticks.
