The countdown is well and truly on for Manchester United's first Premier League game of the season against newly promoted Hull City on the 22nd of August.

Zirkzee happy to move to Italy
Since joining from Bologna in 2024, Zirkzee's time at Manchester United has largely been a struggle, despite scoring on his debut against Fulham.
Throughout last season, it was clear he was low down the pecking order when the likes of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo were preferred over the Dutchman when Benjamin Sesko was not in the 11.
With both Marcus Rashford and Manuel Ugarte set to stay at the club for different reasons, Zirkzee is now the club's best chance of raising any major money in sales.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed a destination that Zirkzee would prefer to go to.
He said: "For the first time, Zirkzee is genuinely looking around regarding his future, unlike before.
"He would happily return to Italy. He enjoyed his time there and knows the league."

While a permanent move would be ideal, the lack of finances for most clubs in the Serie A seemingly makes a loan with either an option clause or an obligation to buy the most realistic eventuality.
This makes it even more of a priority that the club make a move for another striker, as if Benjamin Sesko were at any point injured, there are no senior options to fill in.
Cunha, Mbeumo and Rashford have all shown they can play there, but it is far from their most ideal positions.
This is where losing out on Danny Welbeck becomes so frustrating, as it felt like he was tailor-made for this role. Perhaps Jean-Philippe Mateta could be an option if the club could pull it off, given he almost moved to AC Milan in January.
