Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Real Madrid and Vinícius Júnior are making progress in their contract talks.
The goal is for a deal to get done as soon as possible to avoid the Brazilian making further inroads with Arsenal — or worse, potentially enter free agency next summer:

Discussions are underway over new deal with his agency Roc Nation and the player himself.

David Ornstein of The Athletic also had the news indicating that Real Madrid has made an improved offer.
