Manchester United continue their pre-season preparations with a friendly against European champions Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.
The Red Devils suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat against Championship side Wrexham in their opening pre-season fixture of the summer, before cruising to a 5-0 victory over Norwegian outfit Rosenborg.
Michael Carrick’s side then came from behind to defeat Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in their last game, and the former England midfielder will be desperate to see his side get the better of PSG on Saturday.
Ahead of that tie, it is emerging that one of Man United’s transfer targets could be available this summer.
According to CaughtOffside, Newcastle United have informed forward Nick Woltemade that he will be able to leave the club this summer.
The report suggests that the attacker has previously attracted interest from fellow Premier League side Aston Villa, La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid and German giants Borussia Dortmund.

Now, though, it has emerged that both Man United and Liverpool are both also monitoring the player’s situation.
Germany international Woltemade joined the Magpies from Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart last summer for a fee of approximately £65 million, becoming the most expensive signing in the club’s history.
He started strongly at St. James’ Park, but struggled to maintain his best form and finished the season having scored just 11 goals in 51 games, as well as registering five assists.
The report suggests that the Red Devils have been monitoring the 24-year-old as they assess possible options to bolster Carrick’s squad before the end of the current transfer window.
Newcastle are said to be demanding a fee of around £55 million for the German, but it is also suggested that an initial loan with an option-to-buy clause included is the most likely solution at present.
