Euro giants preparing move to sign 25yo Man Utd star, valued at£26-30m

Juventus are ready to make a move for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee after the signings of Randal Kolo Muani and Kerim Alajbegovic, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Bianconeri are eager to sign another centre-forward after Kolo Muani, and Di Marzio claims that the club are focused on landing Zirkzee ahead of Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino.

The Turin giants are already in contact with Zirkzee’s agent Kia Joorabchian as well as United, who have expressed a willingness to sanction a loan deal for the 25-year-old.

Juventus technical director Frederic Massara wanted to sign Zirkzee for Roma in January when he was their sporting director. He now has the opportunity to seal the deal with the Bianconeri.

The Dutchman has failed to meet expectations during his two seasons at United. He has netted just five goals from 56 league appearances, averaging 35 minutes per outing.

Zirkzee played second fiddle to Rasmus Hojlund during his debut campaign. Benjamin Sesko was signed from RB Leipzig as Hojlund made way during last summer’s transfer window.

Sesko featured on the bench on many occasions during the 2025/26 season, but Zirkzee still struggled for playing time. Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha were preferred as makeshift number nines.

With Marcus Rashford back in the squad after a successful loan spell at Barcelona, the door could be open for Zirkzee’s exit. The Englishman can play upfront in addition to his preferred left wing role.

United could likewise pursue a new marksman, but we believe the club should not entertain a season-long loan deal to Juventus for Zirkzee unless there is some sort of obligation to buy.

The Red Devils hierarchy loaned out Hojlund to Napoli last summer with a conditional obligation to purchase if the Naples outfit qualified for the Champions League, which they did.

United should propose the same to Juventus for Zirkzee. The Red Devils want £26-30 million for a future sale, which would represent a sizeable loss on the £36.5m fee paid to Bologna in 2024.
