Luka Doncic is set to bring the Los Angeles Lakers to Slovenia, and the exact official timeline for the upcoming special minicamp and team-building event has finally been revealed.
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the four-day minicamp is slated to begin Aug. 20 and conclude on Aug. 24.
"In order to extend his time in Slovenia before the upcoming NBA season and create an opportunity for team bonding, Doncic is hosting the entire Lakers roster in Ljubljana for a four-day minicamp from Aug. 20 to Aug. 24, a source close to the Lakers told ESPN last week," the report indicated.
Luka Doncic to host Lakers minicamp in Slovenia
Fully shouldering all expenses, Luka Doncic will be sending the entire Los Angeles Lakers roster out to Slovenia for a specialized four-day player minicamp this month.
The trip is expected to include basketball workouts, golf activities, sightseeing around Ljubljana, and other team-building events.
Unfortunately, one player is set to miss the trip, as rookie Cameron Carr has no choice but to remain in the States upon being required to attend the official NBA rookie orientation.
The upcoming Lakers minicamp hosted by Doncic would be a pivotal moment for the franchise after an offseason filled with roster changes and preparations under a new era without LeBron James. The event is also expected to help the team build early chemistry ahead of the next NBA season.
