The personal life of Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic is set to get ugly after his former fiancée and the mother of his two children filed an eight-figure court claim this week.
On the surface, it seems like Doncic is living a life most people dream about. He is a handsome 27-year-old who is one of the most famous basketball players in the world. He is set to make just under $50 million in the upcoming season and is the official face of the most well-known NBA brand on the planet.
Yet, that is just what fans see. Doncic’s 2025-26 season — his first full campaign in LA — ended frustratingly when an injury in the final weeks of the season cost him a chance to play playoff basketball in the purple and gold. However, around the same time, his love life was a mess after he and long-time fiancée Anamaria Goltes revealed their decade-long relationship was ending.
The two have a pair of daughters together, and the hope was that they could quietly and amicably agree on child support and custody. Well, it seems the gloves are off for Goltes.
Luka Doncic’s ex requests $50 million in child support
The NBA superstar’s former love interest revealed to TMZ on Thursday that she has taken their court battle to their native Slovenia, and she has filed a $50 million support claim. However, that is not where the ugly situation ends.
“We’re also told she wants to strip Luka of some of his custody rights. Currently, he has the kids at least 2 days a week, and she wants to reduce it to one day a week.”

Goltes recently withdrew a child support petition in Los Angeles. She likely did that because it did not have a great chance of being accepted since Doncic has argued that California was the wrong place for the legal battle since their children live in Slovenia. He has already initiated proceedings there regarding custody and child support.
It will be interesting to see if courts in Slovenia are just as favorable to mothers in child support and custody battles as they are in the United States. Last year, Donic signed a new three-year, $160 million extension with the Lakers. He has earned over $358 million in the NBA since he entered the league in 2018.
