Jersey Bulls, a club from the Channel Island of Jersey, participated in the FA Cup for the first time, playing in the Extra Preliminary Round. The match, held at Springfield Stadium in St Helier, was the most southerly tie ever played in the FA Cup. Jersey Bulls faced Horsham YMCA and achieved a record victory, winning 10-1. The Bulls led 4-1 at half-time, and after the Horsham goalkeeper was red-carded early in the second half, they capitalised on their advantage. Jersey Bulls went on to play six matches in their debut FA Cup season, reaching the 3rd Qualifying Round. This new connection to the FA Cup inspired a set of Jersey stamps commemorating the competition’s 150 years, issued in May 2022.
