Altay Bayindir has a message for Manchester United fans after his loan move was confirmed.

Turkey goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has sealed a loan move to Celta Vigo for the season.

The loan deal is seen as the end for his Manchester United career. Celta Vigo possess an option to buy at the end of the season, and his wages are being covered in full.

Bayindir’s message suggests he is not quite giving up on a future at United.

Bayindir thankful for United experience

Altay Bayindir sent a message out to Manchester United supporters. His words suggested that he was reluctant to detach from the club from an emotional perspective.

Bayindir’s message keeps the option open for a return to United, in his mind at least.

He wrote: “Thank you for every chant, every message and every moment we have shared. Your support means a lot to me and I’ll carry it with me throughout this next chapter of my life. I’ll miss Old Trafford but this is not goodbye.

“Wishing a successful season to everyone at the club, my heart and support will always be with you. See you soon Reds! ❤️”

United will move on, with possible shirt switch

Manchester United have already signed Altay Bayindir’s replacement, bringing in Karl Darlow to provide back-up to Senne Lammens.

Bayindir previously held the number one shirt, which he took because Andre Onana wanted the 24.

It is expected that United will now hand Lammens the vacant number one shirt, properly representing his status as the club’s first choice goalkeeper.

And that will be a firm sign that there is no place for Bayindir at the end of his loan, in the event Celta Vigo do not take up their option to buy.
