Man United have been linked with a summer swoop for Hall - a boyhood Newcastle fan. Red Devils fans mistakenly jumped on Thursday’s news that the 21-year-old was training alone at the pre-season camp in La Manga.
The Gazette can confirm that he was, indeed, training individually. But this is due to a fitness niggle and not related to any transfer activity. For context, Fabian Schar also took part in a solo session away from the main group.

Newcastle sources have consistently vowed that Hall is not for sale. Talk of a £60million transfer fee have been laughed off internally.
The preference is to tie Hall down to a contract extension, with his current deal expiring in 2029. A youthful rebuild is underway at St James’ Park and the Magpies want the England international to play a key role in the coming years.
