Ineos might have found an effective solution to offload Manchester United and Netherlands striker Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus this summer, according to reports.

Juventus have been closely linked with Joshua Zirkzee and the Old Lady are the firm favourites to land the 25-year-old out-of-favour Manchester United forward.

Zirkzee has caught the eye of other clubs in the summer transfer window, with Ajax, Roma and two unnamed Premier League clubs all being attached to him recently.

The Netherlands international has been on the pre-season tour under Michael Carrick after Zirkzee missed out on the World Cup tournament this summer.

Ineos could take the Rasmus Hojlund approach with Joshua Zirkzee’s summer transfer to Juventus

Joshua Zirkzee is believed to be keen on a return to Italy after his struggles at Old Trafford, following his move from Serie A side Bologna in 2022.

The former Bologna man has netted once and picked up an assist in his two appearances for Manchester United during this summer’s pre-season campaign.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Man Utd have shown their sign of ‘approval in recent hours’ for Zirkzee to make a move away if the right offer comes along.

The Italian newspaper reported that United have provided a ‘willingness’ to speak with Juventus over the structure of a loan deal for the Netherlands international.

It has been added that a deal could look similar to Rasmus Hojlund’s sale, which could be a season-long loan with an obligation to buy or a conditional obligation.

How Man Utd’s approach to the Rasmus Hojlund deal could be replicated with Joshua Zirkzee

Ineos allowed Rasmus Hojlund to leave Old Trafford in 2025 and sign for Napoli on a season-long loan after Benjamin Sesko arrived in Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad.

Hojlund returned to Italy for the duration of the 2025-26 campaign and Man Utd had included an obligation for the Serie A club to buy him in 2026 for a £38m fee.

However, the obligation hinged on Napoli securing a place in the Champions League for the 2026-27 season in order for it to be automatically triggered.

Ineos could add ‘easy’ obligations around the number of appearances Zirkzee would need to make or how Juventus perform next season to push through a transfer.
