Benjamin Sesko injury update emerges before Man Utd opener
Manchester United expect Benjamin Sesko to be fit for the start of the new Premier League season despite the striker missing Saturday’s friendly against Paris Saint-Germain.
The latest Benjamin Sesko injury update offers reassurance after the 23-year-old was again left out of Michael Carrick’s travelling squad.
Sesko has yet to feature during United’s pre-season schedule after continuing his rehabilitation from the shin problem he carried into the summer.
His absence from the 22-man squad travelling to Gothenburg raised fresh questions over whether he could be ready for competitive football later this month.
However, Manchester Evening News reporter Steven Railston says Sesko remains on track to be available for the start of the season.
The Slovenia international has also been increasing his rehabilitation work at Carrington.

United have taken a cautious approach with their leading striker rather than risking a setback during pre-season.
Sesko returned to individual outdoor work last month but has subsequently missed friendlies against Rosenborg and Atlético Madrid. PSG will now become another game he watches from the sidelines.
Carrick still has attacking options available. Bryan Mbeumo can operate centrally, while Joshua Zirkzee has travelled to Sweden.
ReadManUtd’s predicted XI against PSG already highlighted how Carrick could reshape his attack without Sesko, with Mbeumo the likely candidate to start through the middle.
The priority remains having Sesko available when the results begin to matter.
After scoring 12 goals in all competitions during his debut campaign, United will hope a full season under Carrick can bring another step forward.
Missing almost all of pre-season is far from ideal, particularly for match sharpness. Yet the latest Benjamin Sesko injury update suggests United currently have no reason to believe his absence will extend into the competitive campaign.
