Manchester United face Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain in a pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils have endured a mixed run of results in friendlies so far this summer, having followed up a defeat against Wrexham with wins over both Rosenborg and Atletico Madrid.
Michael Carrick will hope to see his side continue to impress when they face PSG on Saturday, but in the meantime it has emerged that the club have made contact about a move to sign a Serie A attacker.
As per CaughtOffside, both Manchester United and Arsenal have made late contact about a possible move to sign Inter Milan forward Pio Esposito.
The report claims that the Red Devils and the Gunners have both initiated contact about a move to sign for the striker, however both clubs have been informed that he is not available as he has already verbally agreed a new contract with his current side.

Esposito, 21, joined Inter Milan’s youth system as a youngster and has since progressed into the first team.
He spent two years on loan at fellow Italian outfit Spezia, scoring 22 goals in 79 matches in all competitions.
He returned to Inter ahead of the start of last season, and netted seven times in Serie A last term.
The report suggests that Man United and Arsenal had both previously showed interest in the player, and more recently had both enquired about his availability.
Both the Gunners and the Red Devils were told that the Italian had already agreed a new contract with his current side, though, with his deal currently set to expire at the end of the 2029/30 campaign.
The player’s new deal will run for a further 12 months, though, and will also earn him a pay rise, the report suggests.
