Manchester United face Champions League winners PSG in Gothenburg, Sweden

It's matchday and Manchester United will take on Paris Saint-Germain in their fourth pre-season fixture.

Michael Carrick has selected a 22-man travelling squad for the game, with a number of senior players joining for the first time this summer. Captain Bruno Fernandes and new signing Youri Tielemans are back following their post-World Cup breaks.

Senne Lammens and Matheus Cunha have not travelled with their teammates due to illness. There is also no spot for 15-year-old wonderkid JJ Gabriel after he made his first senior appearance against Atletico Madrid last weekend.

PSG have only recently returned to pre-season training and should go relatively strong ahead of Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia started against Mallorca in their last game and should play. Meanwhile, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Joao Neves have all returned to training.

Here are the players at Luis Enrique's disposal this afternoon:

Beraldo, Marquinhos, Zabarnyi, Kvaratskhelia, Longoni, Vitinha, Mayulu, Mendes, Dro, Chevalier, Safonov, Boly, Idder, Ndjantou, Drame, Mbaye, Pacho, Koukaba, Bourdin, Lucea, Meite, Ayari, El Nay, Neves

Hello and welcome to our matchday blog as United take on PSG in Gothenburg. With just two weeks remaining until the start of the Premier League season, preparations are ramping up. That is reflected in Carrick's squad selection. There are only a handful of youth players in the squad as first-team stars return from the World Cup.

However, Bayindir and Vitek's exits to Celta Vigo and Middlesbrough respectively, plus Lammens' illness, mean U18s goalkeeper Fred Heath has travelled. This will be great experience for him, albeit Tom Heaton will be expected to play the full 90 minutes. Cunha is also absent through illness so you would anticipate seeing more of Lacey this afternoon.

Stay tuned for updates...
