Manchester United ramped up their pre-season preparations as they played out an entertaining draw with Paris Saint-Germain in Sweden. The reigning European champions took the lead inside two minutes, with Ibrahim Mbaye finishing off a sweeping team move from close range. United eventually settled down and were seeing most of the ball, although PSG remained dangerous on the counter.
Eventually, the equaliser arrived when Bryan Mbeumo fired into the bottom corner from just inside the box. Both sides made plenty of changes in the second half as they pushed for a winner, but no more goals arrived and it ended level. Unfortunately for the Red Devils, they didn't get through the game unscathed, with Mason Mount and Tom Heaton being forced off either side of half-time.
Man Utd player ratings vs PSG
Handed a start with Senne Lammens still recovering from illness. Pulled his hamstring in the second half and was replaced.
Could have done more to stop the cross that led to the opening goal. Fared better going forward with a few dangerous crosses.
Defended reasonably well and used his passing to start attacks from the very back, finding the wingers on several occasions.
Lost the run of Mbaye in the build-up to the opening goal and was booked for a clumsy challenge on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Not great.
Too slow to track back for the first goal, jogging instead of making a real effort to get there. Did okay apart from that.
Raced back to snuff out a dangerous counter-attacking move. Kept things ticking in the middle of the park with simple passes.
Substituted early on after picking up a knock with Michael Carrick taking no chances. Hopefully nothing too serious.
Started on the left wing before switching to the right. Used his tricky feet to beat defenders but lacked a killer final ball.
Pressed brilliantly to win the ball before feeding Mbeumo for the equaliser. Another strong display, unplayable at times.
Impressed with his range of passing in the final third to pick out team-mates in dangerous positions.
Equalised with a sweetly-struck effort into the bottom corner. Forced a number of strong saves in search of another goal.

Substitutes
Played most of the game after replacing Mount early in the first half. Looked composed on the ball but didn't exactly stand out.
Introduced at the break, replacing Heaven. Looks set to compete with the English youngster for a starting spot this season.
Came on for the second half with Mazraoui making way. Had a decent game at both ends of the pitch.
Called into action to replace Heaton between the sticks. Didn't see a great deal of action with United the better team in the second half.
Was given just under half an hour and immediately took control in the middle of the park, nearly scoring with an attempted pass that trickled wide of the post.
Received a warm reception as he came on for his United debut. Looked promising on the transition from defence to attack.
Got a run out despite reportedly being available for transfer. Lively going forward, getting himself involved as United pushed for a winner.
Put himself about in the final third and should have won a free-kick when he got clattered by the goalkeeper near the halfway line.
Joined his twin brother on the pitch with 25 minutes remaining. Squandered a late chance to score from point-blank range.
