Manchester United could soon receive another offer for one of their highly-rated academy starlets.
According to the Daily Mail, Man United youngster Jaydan Kamason is wanted by Southampton, who are ready to sign him on a permanent transfer.
The Saints are not the only club circling the 19-year-old.
Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday are also keen to secure Kamason on loan.
Despite the growing interest, Kamason has plenty of admirers inside Old Trafford and is likely to remain at United until at least January.
Kamason joined the club’s Emerging Talent Programme at the age of 10 and became the first player to sign scholarship forms with United.
The 19-year-old is an exciting right-back whose attacking instincts could make him a serious threat in the final third.
His skills were on display during the 5-0 win over Rosenborg when he delivered a superb assist for Harry Amass at the far post.
The explosive teenager now needs regular senior football to turn his potential into consistent performances, as he is not yet ready to play Premier League football every week.
However, the Red Devils may be reluctant to sanction his departure given their lack of depth at full-back.
INEOS are already searching for a new left-back who can share the workload with Luke Shaw, while Harry Amass could potentially leave the club.
On the right, Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are expected to battle for the starting role, but either could be required to switch flanks whenever Shaw is unavailable.
That could open the door for Kamason to make his mark in cup competitions. Head coach Michael Carrick could trust him if he continues to work hard and excels at the Under-21 level.
United offloaded Radek Vitek to Middlesbrough on a permanent transfer earlier today, but it is highly unlikely that Kamason will be allowed to leave this year.
