Roundtable understands that Stockport County have held talks with Manchester United to sign Ethan Ennis on a season-long loan deal, while Jack Moorhouse and Ethan Wheatley are also receiving interest.
Stockport County are currently not willing to contribute to Ennis' loan financially. He spent last term on loan at Fleetwood Town in League Two, largely featuring as a right-wing-back, despite being more of a natural attacker.
Moorhouse, who spent the first half of last season on loan with Leyton Orient, is of interest to Everton and Wigan Athletic for a permanent move.
Ethan Wheatley has also been eyed by Everton for another permanent transfer out of Old Trafford. Lincoln City are another side looking at the centre-forward.
Jaydan Kamason has also received lots of interest from Championship sides after his impressive performances in pre-season.
In May, MEN reported that United had taken up their one-year extension clause in Ennis' contract, with his deal now expiring next summer. The 21-year-old moved to Manchester United in 2021, having spent his younger years in the Liverpool academy.
Moorhouse has been involved with United's first team, but Wheatley became the 250th academy graduate to play for the senior side a few years ago.
Competition for places in Man Utd's U21s
Adam Lawrence is set to have some serious headaches in the 2026/27 campaign, as Manchester United's Under-21s have competition for places in several positions, especially in the wide areas.
Shea Lacey is the standout, but he played 90 minutes against Paris Saint-Germain in United's fourth pre-season match. He could be a regular feature in Michael Carrick's first-team squads next season, although he will have to fight against Amad and Bryan Mbeumo for game time on the flank.
Noah Ajayi and JJ Gabriel will likely feature for the Under-21s next season after playing key roles for the U18s last season, especially in the FA Youth Cup.
The likes of Bendito Mantato and James Scanlon also remain options for Adam Lawrence next season.
Jack Fletcher has shown in pre-season that he can play from the flank, and that may be needed with the midfield talent already at Old Trafford.
Jim Thwaites and Tyler Fletcher have both featured for Michael Carrick's senior squad in pre-season, while Cristian Orozco adds to the midfield competition in the youth ranks.

Opportunities next season
Manchester United's youngsters look like they will be given a fair opportunity to impress in the first team next season if their performances in the youth sides are worthy of a call-up.
Michael Carrick rewarded Tyler Fletcher with his debut last season and has relied on Shea Lacey in pre-season. Harry Amass, Jaydan Kamason and others also impressed in the first three matches of pre-season.
The return to the Champions League will offer more opportunities for Michael Carrick to rotate his squad, while United will also be hoping they can progress past the first round in both domestic cup competitions after last year's disappointment.
Some youngsters could also make the opening day squad against Hull City. Tom Heaton's injury against PSG could offer a chance for Dermot Mee if Karl Darlow does not return in time. Lacey will also be aiming for a spot in the first-team squad.
