Bryan Mbeumo struck for the third time in two matches as Manchester United fought back to draw with PSG, though the night was overshadowed by injuries to Mason Mount and Tom Heaton.
Ibrahim Mbaye gave PSG an early lead inside two minutes at Ullevi in Gothenburg, finishing off a low cross, but United worked their way back into the contest and were level by the 32nd minute when Mbeumo fired home following good work from Amad Diallo.
Michael Carrick made just one change to the side that beat Atlético Madrid the previous weekend, with Noussair Mazraoui coming in for his first appearance since the World Cup, while Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and summer signing Youri Tielemans all featured in a matchday squad for the first time in 2026/27.
United produced the better chances over the course of the game despite PSG bringing on several of their World Cup stars in the second half, though neither side could find a winner.
The performance was tempered by fitness concerns for two senior players. Mason Mount was forced off after just 20 minutes with what was described as a precaution, while goalkeeper Tom Heaton also required treatment before being replaced at half-time. Speaking to Norwegian broadcaster VG, Carrick played down the severity of Mount's issue.
"He just got a kick," he said. "So we just wanted \[it\] to be a precaution really, to look after him. We want to keep the group strong and we've been fortunate to get everyone to this stage fit and well, so we wanted to be careful with that."
Carrick was otherwise pleased with how his side handled the challenge posed by the European champions, and is now looking ahead to a training stay near Dublin that will bring his squad together before the season begins.
> "I'm looking forward to it," he told MUTV. "It's been, a little bit, different chapters through pre-season and we'll get everybody together, when we get to Dublin over the next couple of days. It'll be great, two more games this week and, again, I'm looking forward to seeing the group develop."
Manchester United's pre-season schedule concludes with matches against Leeds United on Wednesday and AC Milan on Saturday, before the Premier League campaign gets under way.
