The Los Angeles Lakers will look different this season after making several changes during the summer, but the same goal is in place, which is to compete. Luka Doncic wants to get things started early with his teammates and invited them to Slovenia for a four-day preseason bonding trip, where they'll work out, play golf and do some Ljubljana tourism.

One of the players who seems to be excited about the trip is Austin Reaves, and he spoke about what he plans to do when he sees Doncic.

“I feel great, I'm going to kick his a** in golf,” Reaves said via Basketnews. “That'll be a lot of fun, but it'll just be good to get around everybody. We've got a fairly new team, a lot of new guys. So it'll just be good to be around them, learn to get to know one another off the court. Just build that chemistry there.”

Reaves has been seen playing a lot of golf this season, and he was actually on the course when it was announced that he would be getting a max contract from the Lakers. Other than basketball, it seems as if golf is the ultimate bonding sport, and Reaves is ready to have some fun with his teammates.

Damian Lillard's deep series-winning bomb in 2019, followed by his cold-blooded wave goodbye, eliminated which team?

Everyone is expected to be on the trip except rookie Cameron Carr, who will be attending the official NBA rookie orientation.

After LeBron James announced that he wouldn't be returning to the Lakers, they quickly pivoted and added several players, including Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Collin Sexton, Matisse Thybulle and others.

In the end, it will be up to Doncic and Reaves to lead the Lakers on most nights, but they have the players around to support them on others.
