Victor Wembanyama believes he can capably pull the unthinkable by scoring 100 points in an NBA game.
The San Antonio Spurs superstar was invited by French content creator Rookicks for a quick-fire Q&A segment. Wembanyama answered several questions, including whether he has LeBron James’ personal phone number and the possibility of teaming up with his younger brother, Oscar, on the same team.
When asked whether he believes he can score 100 points in an NBA game, Wembanyama offered a simple response.
"I agree, yeah," he told Rookicks.

In the entire history of the NBA, only Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points. The all-time great set the legendary record for most points by a player in a single game back in 1962.
The closest came from Kobe Bryant in 2006, as he tallied 81 points to set the second-highest points total. But last season, it was surpassed by Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo's 83-point explosion in one of the most jaw-dropping and unexpected individual performances ever.
Wembanyama's career-high in points stands at 50, which he scored in an epic performance to lead the San Antonio Spurs over the Washington Wizards last 2024.
As such, from last February, Wembanyama himself has made everyone think that scoring 100 points is possible on his end. Against Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers, Wembanyama dropped a staggering 25 points in less than eight minutes. He finished the half with 37 points, putting himself in a strong position to reach the 100-point mark.
In the end, due to the Spurs' one-sided play to dominate the Lakers, Wembanyama did not appear much anymore for the rest of the game and only scored three more points in their 136-108 blowout win.

Given his generational traits and still expanding offensive arsenal at just 22, it seems only a matter of time before Wembanyama joins Chamberlain among the NBA’s most untouchable clubs.
