San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama named the French player he would most like to see join him in Texas.
During a quick-fire Q&A with Rookicks, Wembanyama was asked which of his French national team teammates he would bring to the Spurs if he had the choice.
The 22-year-old initially needed some time to think about the question before eventually settling on his answer.
"Off the top of my head, I'd say Evan Fournier," Wembanyama said.
Fournier spent 12 seasons in the NBA before returning to Europe, where he has since established himself as one of the EuroLeague's biggest names, helping Olympiacos Piraeus win the EuroLeague title in May and earning Final Four MVP honors.
The veteran guard has also shared the court with Wembanyama for the French national team, most notably during the 2024 Paris Olympics, where France claimed the silver medal.
Wembanyama agrees he could score 100 points
Wembanyama also touched on several lighter topics during the rapid-fire session.
Asked whether he has LeBron James' phone number, the Spurs star simply answered, "No."
He was then asked whether he believes he could eventually score more than 100 points in a single game.
"I agree, yeah," Wembanyama responded.
The Frenchman was less willing to reveal what he had focused on most during his offseason training.
"It's... um, I can't tell you," he said.
Wembanyama also named Dylan Harper as his funniest teammate and left the door open to potentially playing alongside his younger brother Oscar one day.
"Why not, in the French national team to start with," he said when asked about the possibility.
Still, when it came to bringing another French player to San Antonio, Fournier was the first name that came to Wembanyama's mind.
