Aston Villa target Endrick is reportedly set to stay at Real Madrid this summer. The Brazilian’s situation in the Spanish capital was being monitored by Villa, with the possibility of offering him a loan move.

According to multiple reports in Spain, the 20-year-old will now remain at the Bernabeu at least for the first half of the season, though his situation will be reviewed in January.

Villa are looking to strengthen in the forward department of Unai Emery’s squad, and Endrick appealed for several reasons, but other targets have also been considered.

Leon Bailey is expected to join Hull City, while Evann Guessand is being targeted by Crystal Palace. Those two departures, if completed, would create space in the squad and budget for a right winger.

Villa signed Alejandro Garnacho earlier this summer on loan from Chelsea with a conditional obligation to buy, while Johan Manzambi replaced Morgan Rogers, who joined Chelsea for £117 million.

Joao Gomes joined Villa from Wolves for £35 million after Youri Tielemans completed a move to Manchester United for the same fee, which was his release clause.

Villa are hoping to complete the signing of Matteo Ruggeri from Atletico Madrid shortly, replacing Lucas Digne, who has joined Paris Saint-Germain.

Joao Palhinha is Villa’s primary target to replace the injured Amadou Onana.
