Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will enter his 18th season in the NBA, and his window to win a fifth championship is closing fast. But as long as he is on the floor, displaying his legendary shooting, the Warriors will always have a chance to contend for the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
Once again, Curry will be tasked with carrying a heavy load at 38 years old. Golden State has stayed pat in the offseason after failing to land LeBron James in free agency. While the road is tough, the two-time MVP will surely welcome the challenge.
The most notable addition to the Warriors is Yaxel Lendeborg, who was drafted at No. 11 in June. He admitted that he used to hate Curry because he was a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers, particularly Kyrie Irving. But now that they are teammates, Lendeborg has sung a different tune about the four-time champion.
During his livestream, the 23-year-old rookie did not hesitate when asked where he ranks Curry all-time.
“Top three. After Steph gets this ring this year, he's gonna be number one, don't worry,” said Lendeborg.

He will surely earn brownie points from the veteran guard.
Curry is chasing his fifth ring to tie the championship haul of his coach, Steve Kerr. But with their aging and injury-prone core, which also features Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, Kristaps Porzingis, De'Anthony Melton, and Al Horford, the Warriors will have to defy the odds.
Fortunately, Curry has been doing that since he was in high school.
As for Lendeborg, he will look to build on his strong performance in the NBA Summer League, wherein he led the Warriors to the title and was named MVP.
