Partizan reportedly finalize deal with Pacers guard Ethan Thompson

Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade remain active on the transfer market despite already adding seven new players this summer.

According to Nova.rs, Partizan have finalized the details of an agreement with Indiana Pacers guard and Puerto Rico international Ethan Thompson.

The move, however, cannot be completed yet.

Thompson remains under contract with Indiana, and Partizan must first wait for the Pacers to part ways with the 27-year-old before he can officially sign in Belgrade.

According to Meridian Sport, his departure from Indiana is considered only a matter of time.

Play

Born in California, Thompson played college basketball at Oregon State before beginning his professional career in the G League.

He also spent time playing in Puerto Rico before earning an opportunity with the Pacers.

Thompson appeared in 32 NBA games under head coach Rick Carlisle last season, averaging 7.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

Thompson also represents Puerto Rico internationally and competed at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

He recently featured for the national team in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, scoring 14 points against Canada in early July before following that performance with 17 points against the Bahamas.
