INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) -- Tyrese Haliburton is over a year removed from his torn Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals and has recovered from his battle with shingles.

He shared a good update on how he feels on Wednesday.

"I feel great," Haliburton said. "I'm doing everything. Playing pickup pretty regularly at this point. I feel great. I will be ready for the season. If the season was today, I'd be ready. So, can't come fast enough."

While Haliburton is ready for the season, he knows the first few minutes of game action are going to be challenging.

"Before that first media timeout, that wind is just different. It's impossible to prepare for," Haliburton said. "Doesn't matter how much I prepare, that first stint is going to be exhausting for everybody. I know I'll feel good going into the year. Game shape is being able to explore with the preseason. Coach Carlisle does a great job as the preseason goes along, our minutes getting closer and closer to mirroring our game minutes as time goes on. For me, it's just being in the best shape I can."

Haliburton said he is going to Los Angeles pretty soon to play with some NBA players and said him and his teammates are getting together pretty soon. Haliburton added it's been nice working out with Andrew Nembhard.

"That's an elite defender who can help me simulate what my matchups typically look like, so that's helped as well," Haliburton said.

Haliburton and the Pacers' full schedule for the 2026-27 season is set to be released on Thursday.
