After making Michael Hayes acknowledge her, Chelsea Green has also been noticed by the NBA. The reigning Interim WWE Women’s Champion just got featured in a new project of the league, wherein she was seen delivering a unique promo with another star of the company.
Chelsea Green Continues To Make Waves Despite Injury
The Hot Mess is widely renowned for her promos. Recently, instead of a WWE ring, she was seen delivering a backstage promo, but for the Toronto Raptors. The one-time NBA champs posted a clip of Chelsea Green getting interviewed by Cathy Kelley, who was asking how the Raptors looked against their opponents.
Each time, the Interim WWE Women’s Champion gave a sassy answer to put Toronto over the other teams in the NBA. This was a creative way used by the team to promote themselves hours after the release of the 2026-27 season of the NBA.

Chelsea Green just received an orbital bone injury on last week’s episode of SmackDown while fighting alongside Tiffany Stratton in a losing effort against Lainey Reed and Fallon Henley for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
This is a big blow to the TKO-owned company’s plans as it had crowned Green as the Interim Women’s Champion for the SmackDown brand just a few days ago at the 2026 SummerSlam. However, just like Rhea Ripley, the primary blue-branded world champ, the Canadian wrestler is also down with an injury now.
Interestingly, however, as reported by WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, she will be maintaining her status as the world champ despite being on the mend for several weeks. In fact, she would still be a part of the active programming. It would be interesting to see what lies ahead for Chelsea Green and when fans will be able to see her first title defense.
