This week we polled Portland Trail Blazers fans across the nation about the Blazers’ latest acquisition, forward Jeremy Sochan. The defensive wizard played for not one, but two NBA Finalists last season. Portland got him on a non-guaranteed contract as he looks to rehabilitate his reputation and resurrect his career after a couple years of flagging stats.
We asked Portland fans whether or not Sochan would play more than 18 minutes per game for the Blazers this year. 74% of respondents said no. About 1 in 4 people forecast Sochan playing a modest bench role or better. That’s it.
How about you? Does this align with your thinking? Personally, I think Sochan’s defensive chops are going to be enough to get him onto the roster. After that, it’ll be up to the coaches and play style.
