The Knicks center, Karl-Anthony Towns, married his longtime partner, Jordyn Woods, who made their relationship public about six years ago. The couple tied the knot at a star-studded event in Malibu on Saturday, August 15.
Yet, less than 48 hours later, pictures from the private event went viral on social media. And while all fans were delighted to hear this news about the couple, they did not appreciate the NBA paparazzi crashing the event.
The pictures that went viral clearly showed they were either taken from drones or from a distance, and the photographers were not allowed to enter the premises of the intimate event where several celebrities were in attendance.
“Not y’all peeping in on these people’s wedding.”
“These pictures feel invasive as hell.”
“Such a scumbag move to spy on their special day.”
“Why post her wedding dress before she can? So disrespectful.”
“Y’all are so thirsty. How about giving them some f–king privacy for F–K SAKE!!!”
“An aerial shot from the paparazzi drone is actually insane, but like who sent the drone to a wedding? “
Various such reactions flooded social media. While most NBA fans were congratulating the couple on their special day, some supporters pointed out that invading their privacy on that day is disrespectful. Page Six and TMZ faced a lot of criticism for this on X.

On Saturday, the model and Knicks star exchanged vows in a gorgeous black-tie ceremony in Malibu with a view of the Pacific Ocean. As the couple celebrated their special day in front of a star-studded crowd, Woods looked stunning in a strapless white gown.

Several A-list celebrities attended the beautiful ceremony, including OG Anunoby, Jose Alvarado, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Deuce McBride, Trey Jemison, Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet and ‘Love Island’ stars Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe.

Kevin McCullar and Landry Shamet could be next in line as they proposed to their respective partners this summer as well.
And while the Knicks’ fans would have loved to see what was happening at Towns’ wedding, they could have waited a few more days before finding out about it through the pictures that the couple intended to be shown to the public or the event attendees sharing pictures from the ground at the wedding. But such an invasion of privacy through drones was not necessary.
Nonetheless, congratulations to Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods on their special day. Hopefully they have found their happily ever after.
