Jeanie Buss reportedly opposed her family's decision to sell the remaining stake of the Los Angeles Lakers to the new majority owners of the franchise.
According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the Lakers governor did not vote to sell her family's 17.8% ownership stake in the organization.
However, all five of Jeanie's siblings agreed to sell their portions of the franchise, ultimately allowing Josh Kushner and Bob Iger to completely secure the Lakers.
"Am told by multiple sources that Lakers governor Jeanie Buss did not vote to sell," Shelburne wrote on X. "The other five siblings did."

The Buss family's ownership of the Los Angeles Lakers is coming to an end after nearly five decades, with the latest transaction also set to remove Jeanie Buss from her position as team governor.
The family has decided to sell its remaining 17.8% ownership stake in the Lakers to new majority owners Josh Kushner and Bob Iger, and Jeanie can no longer maintain her governor position, as NBA rules require her to hold at least a 15% stake in the franchise.
The Buss family trust consists of siblings Jeanie, Jim, Johnny, Janie, Joey and Jesse Buss.
Four of the six siblings were required to approve the decision in order to enact the tag-along provision connected to Mark Walter's sale of the Lakers to Kushner and Iger, which valued the franchise at a record $12.5 billion.
Once the transaction is finalized, the Buss family will no longer own part of the Lakers and Jeanie will no longer serve as governor, formally ending one of the most significant ownership eras in NBA history.
Buss family feud reaches climax with Jeanie leaving Lakers
The 13-year Buss family feud has been a brutal fight for control of the Lakers, ending in ultimate revenge. The war started in 2017 when Jeanie Buss fired her brother Jim as Head of Basketball Operations for losing too many games. Jim and his older brother Johnny tried to sue Jeanie to strip her of her power, but Jeanie beat them in court to keep her role as team governor.
The family divide worsened last year when Jeanie secretly sold a 62% majority stake of the team to billionaire Mark Walter for $10 billion without consulting her siblings. Immediately after the deal closed, she used her power to fire her younger half-brothers, Joey and Jesse, from their front-office scouting and business roles.
In the end, things came full circle for Jeanie and all of her siblings, as she was ousted from power in the Lakers with the takeover of Josh Kushner and Bob Iger.
