The NBA G League announced the roster for the 2026 NBA G League United team. This year’s roster will travel to Shanghai for a pair of friendly games against CBA opponents on Aug. 28 & 30 before heading to Beijing to participate in the [2026 FIBA Intercontinental Cup](https://www.fiba.basketball/en/events/fiba-intercontinental-cup-2026/games) from Sept. 22-27.

G League United will tip off its scrimmage play with two matchups against the 2025-26 CBA champion Shanghai Sharks on Friday, Aug. 28 and Sunday, Aug. 30 at Shanghai Indoor Stadium. The games will mark the the G League's first time playing against a CBA team, and will be part of the first NBA Shanghai Basketball Festival.
After returning to the United States, G League United will head to Beijing in September for FIBA Intercontinental Cup play. G League United will tip off Group B play of the 2026 FIBA Intercontinental Cup with a matchup against hosts Beijing Royal Fighters of China on Sept. 23. They will follow that up with a game against Basketball Champions League Americas champions Boca Juniors of Argentina on Sept. 24. Depending on those results, G League United will play in either the 3rd place game or Final on Sept. 27.
Iowa Wolves head coach Mahmoud Abdelfattah will act as head coach for this year's G League United team.
