Kyrie Irving only spent a couple of seasons with the Celtics, but he still established himself as one of the best guards to ever play in Boston.

He's gone on to play for several teams, making NBA Finals appearances and winning on that stage with the Cavaliers.

Irving is preparing to return to the floor with the Mavericks after missing all of the 2025-26 NBA season due to an ACL injury he sustained over a year ago.

The 34-year-old has a player option on his contract for 2027-28 and will look to prove he's worthy of another long-term extension, which would likely be the final substantial multi-year contract of his career.
