Patrick Beverley believes LeBron James should fully embrace Philadelphia after joining the 76ers.
Speaking on The Pat Bev Show, Beverley addressed LeBron's move to the Philadelphia 76ers and said the four-time NBA champion would get more out of the experience if he actually lived in the city.
"Bron, you would appreciate it more living in Philly," Beverley said.
Beverley, who played for the 76ers during the 2023-24 season, explained that Philadelphia has a unique basketball culture and that the city strongly supports its players.
"When it comes to Philly, they are a home base that wears their basketball team on their chest," Beverley said. "When it comes to Philadelphia, they eat, breathe 76ers and Eagles."
Beverley also shared his own experience from living in Philadelphia, saying the city gave him some of the best support of his career.
"My time there, I lived in Old City," Beverley said. "I lived in Philly. The love I got in Philly was some of the best love I've ever experienced my entire career in the NBA."

Beverley says championship is the expectation
While Beverley praised Philadelphia's fanbase, he also made it clear that LeBron will face major expectations with the Sixers.
According to Beverley, the city will not be satisfied with anything short of a championship during LeBron's time with the team.
"They gon expect you to win a championship," Beverley noted.
Beverley added that LeBron's status makes the situation even bigger, saying the spotlight on him will be different from other players.
"LeBron, you got a different target on your back," Beverley said. "It's a different type of love for you. You are the king straight up."
Beverley continued by saying that Philadelphia will fully embrace LeBron if he delivers.
"You are going to be there to be only one thing: the King," Beverley said. "The throne is yours, the crown is yours."
Beverley believes Sixers have enough talent
Beverley also expressed optimism about the 76ers' roster, especially if Joel Embiid can stay healthy.
He mentioned LeBron, Embiid, Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe while discussing Philadelphia's championship chances.
"The biggest piece to me is Embiid," Beverley said. "Embiid, if we can find a way to keep Embiid healthy, this is to me the most dominant starting five I've ever seen in the NBA without a doubt."
Beverley added that he is excited to see how the team comes together under head coach Nick Nurse, whom he praised for getting strong production from wings.
"I'm a firm believer in Nick Nurse," Beverley said. "I love the way he prepares, I love the way he handles practices."
For Beverley, the message to LeBron and the Sixers is simple. Philadelphia will show love, but the expectations will be enormous.
"I think the expectation is to win a championship during his tenure," Beverley affirmed.
